Minnie's Food Pantry

When the pandemic arrived we had to change the way we serve our community.  For years,  we took pride in offering the red carpet treatment to the families that we serve. Minnie's Food Pantry started our contact free serving experience.  We went from rolling out the red carpet to providing meals to our families with a state of the art drive-thru service.  We understand the importance of safety for the our employees and the families we serve. We greet every car with a smile and healthy meals to put in their car. We ask that the trunk is empty so we can put the food in the trunk and prevent little to no contact.   We practice social distancing and we periodically we offer free PPE supplies  to the families we serve. Our hours of operation are Wednesday-Saturday 8:30am-11:30am.

We are optimistic that with the growing widespread availability of the vaccine, more North Texans will be able to return to work and school and economic recovery can begin. But we also know that many of our neighbors will still feel the impacts of the pandemic for months or even years to come. We will continue to be on the frontlines ensuring those in need have nutritious food and working with our Partner Agencies to increase access to additional services that will help our neighbors regain self-sufficiency.

Crossroads Community Services

Crossroads’ mission is to nourish our community’s low-income families and individuals by providing nutritious food and supportive education. Customers can visit the Crossroads pantry once a month, and choose the food they would like to receive. A family of four can expect to receive about 100 pounds of food when they visit our pantry. We have a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, proteins, grains, and dairy products available every day. Our clients receive a large amount of food, because here at Crossroads, we believe in giving more food (per person) so that each member of the household has more nutritious choices available to them.

South Dallas Food Pantry: St. Vincent Center and the Jan Pruitt Community Pantry
